Zach, for the most part I agree with you. Video games are NOT the cause, but they do (in most cases) contribute to the problem. There are people out there (like you, and myself to an extent) that play video games and watch tv AND still get plenty of good eating in, and get plenty of exercise in. But there are a ton of kids (people) that spend much of their time in front of the tv/video games RATHER THAN exercise. People like you are not a part of the problem. Unfortunately, you are more of the exception. I wouldn't have much of a problem (if any) with video games and tv, IF people still made time to workout, play, and get outside and move more.

Keep working!

video games and tv are completely unrelated to the obesity epidemic. it's not the presence of television and video games that are the problem, its the absence of healthy food choices and physical activity. i play tons of video games, watch some tv, but neither of those things are causing any health problems. im healthy because i bust my ass in the gym and, more importantly, i eat very healthily and get lots of sleep. video games and television are unfairly blamed. as long you eat healthy, get lots of sleep, and exercise, you can play all the video games and watch all the television that you want
